WHY DID THE MONKEY KILL THE FISH?
High in the trees, the monkey frolicking and playing noticed the advent of a flood coming on a particular day. As the monkeys dwelled safely in the trees, they peered down witnessing all the carnage and destruction from this flood. The dead, water soaked bodies and debris of the buildings of the nearby cities and towns. In awe, the monkeys had witnessed this destruction first hand and felt badly for all the victims of the flood. All at once the monkeys noticed movement in the water from their position high in the trees above. One of the monkey’s immediately climbed down, snatching a fish from the water, to save the life of the fish from the water.
The imperialism of the European explorers who changed the destiny of many cultures compares to the nature of these monkeys .They simply murdered their way to the top of the food chain, destroying the cultures of the people all over the globe. My professor did not like this analogy, what about you? It is not about black or white it is about wrong over right.

Introduction and History
1986 Established and registered with the state of Florida in 1987 under the doctrine in the United States, the parens patriae doctrine has had its greatest application in the treatment of children, mentally ill persons, and other individuals who are legally incompetent to manage their affairs. The state is the supreme guardianof all children within its jurisdiction, and state courts have the inherent power to intervene to protect the best interests of children whose welfare is jeopardized by controversies between parents. This inherent power is generally supplemented by legislative
acts that define the scope of child protection in a state.
1986-1989 Served as a Volunteer organization at WT Edwards
Juvenile Detention introducing the Academic Behavior Modification Program in effort to provide and fun educational re source
for the incarcerated youth.
1988-1990 The Pure Poets were enlisted by Hillsborough County
to conduct door to door surveys projecting prostate cancer
awareness to a population at risk in urban communities.
1998-Present Formed J.U.I.C.E., Juveniles United In a Community Effort as we trained youth in a militarily form while the earn
rank through both learning vocabulary words and reading books.
We contract out there service for odd jobs assisting them in
learning a vocation and teaching a positive work ethic as a form
of community service. Lastly, we encourage the assistance of
senior citizens as we further expand the concept of adopt a grand
parent program.
1993-1999 Hosted the first Open Mic in Historic Ybor City, “Triple Talent Tuesday,” at the Legendary Blues Ship with international artist & guest. This lead to a weekly public access broadcast and our very ownmeet the streets team airing “What up in Ybor.”
2000-2003 Hosted an after school program and the Community Boxing Gym training youth in disciple of physical training as well as providing tutoring through our Historic West Tampa.
2003-2005 Opened the Information & Concierge station in Historic Ybor at the world famous Gas pars Grotto employing J.U.I .C.E. Cadets in a summer entrepreneur program. Pur chased two indoor hot dog cart began illustrating to the cadets the details in owning your own business.
2006-Present In observing a new phenomenon of the so called “adult
without skills is a prime candidate for crime,” which eventually cost us money. We have begun to employ these young men to selling flowers at a fundraiser for the youth program and to provide income for the unskilled candidate while we determine a educational course of action.
2008– Present Have places 50 plus computer in the homes of youth
without computer donated by Hillsborough Community College through our Poetry with a Purpose Program.
Get J.U.I.C.E. (Juveniles United In a Community Effort) our para militarily trained youth ages 6 to 14 years of age as they earn promotions by learning vocabulary words: and vocational trainingas a man thinketh so is he.
Poetry with a Purpose a county wide question is to ask the youth in the community contest, The most important factor of all is the "Content Analysis". Meaning in most of the academic programs, as we request certain topics, the content of their submission is the key to meeting their needs. This is all complemented by our quarterly published Newsletter, which can list the names of the winners, and not necessarily where they participated. The results can be recorded, measured, against repeat offenders.
Academic Behavior Modification is a quarterly event, and in direct partnership with detentions education department, The Pure Poets Society hosted a party centered around an Academic Event: Poetry or Essay contest, Math Bowl, spelling bee or any creative learning ideas we can create through the Distibution of certificate
